According to a report by Business Insider, the deadly shooting at a bar in a Los-Angeles area suburb which claimed the lives of thirteen people, was the 307th mass shooting of 2018.
The nonprofit Gun Violence Archive, which tracks shooting in the US, defines a mass shooting as a single incident in which four or more people, not including the shooter, are “shot and/or killed” at “the same general time and location.”
Business Insider puts things in perspective, pointing out that we are 312 days into 2018, which means that there has been a mass shooting nearly every day of this year.
